Changing noisy apartment complex to single family house was one of the best achievements for this year. Looks like kids are really happy with new location so we can slowly start preparing ourselves for another school year in Virginia. Well, this is normal life circle in the nature right ? ;-) Everybody was born with the goal to die, sooner or later but die. However one bright light finally pop up in our life. For long days of waiting for the camera from eBay which was lost/stolen/not-delivered or whatever we finally got a notice from USPS to come over and pick up the package from AZ. How big our surprise was when we opened the package and found camera we've paid for long time ago in there ! Meantime I've opened a case on eBay to investigate the issue with seller which was closed within 1 week with decision to get my money back. Unbelievable quick process was done from eBay side to move my money back to my paypal account, this happened within 2-3 hours ! Kudos eBay ! So for now we're enjoying our camera and taking as much videos as possible. Will keep you guys posted. |

For now we're waiting for openoffice to be downloaded so my wife will have the place to play with photos. The last outstanding issue : openvpn. We went to Jamestown yesterday, place of the first settlement in the US. Our children had a great time seeing pictures and tents used in the past by Indians (Powhatans). | [ 2008-12-28 ] | * As mentioned earlier, we've started moving to US. This is the last stage of our move as finally my family is also in great Richmond area enjoying humidity of domestic weather. The trip they've done in order to get here was something terrible. Everything went smoothly until they reached NY airport (JFK). Everything started there ... Weather was very bad so idiots decided to cancel few domestic flights. Erika & kids spent 30 hours at the airport, tired and without anybody who can help them to translate language which people here are using everyday. They tried to get "home" twice but they were also released twice from the aircraft as flight was canceled. After mentioned 30 hours I decided to drive to NY and pick them up there. This trip took me 8 hours of fast driving to NY and then another 8 hours driving back to Glen Allen. Nice timing, isn't it ? :-) They were very happy to see thei beds again bacause they lost them 1 month ago, as our furniture was moved to US. For now they're trying to sync up with local timezone ;-) and believe me it's bloody difficult :-) |

I rented an apartment, bought few old things in order to get myself feel good here. Apartment was empty which is very good for depressions ;-) I can confirm that. | [ 2008-09-13 ] | * I bought my new HTC Pro and it looks to be brilliant choice I've ever made. This small thing is pretty quick, responsive and no resets are needed so far. SW available on internet is mostly for free so no additional money are needed as well. I've noticed few problems with speed once device is used more than 2 days (probably problem with temporary files or something, God knows) but this is not that significant issue so I can live with it. And as the last remark : this device was the most expensive device I've ever bought :-( Few years ago I promised that I will never spend more than 2.000 SKK for mobile phone BUT this is not just a mobile phone ;-), this thing is sometimes smartest than I'm ! |
